Ah, three years with P. Seems like just yesterday. Doug and I are especially nostalgic this year, more so than in years past on P’s birthday (the whole two of them). I think we are less in survival-mode this time around than we were the first two. Back then we were just so darn pleased with ourselves that we didn’t break her. Yeah, us!
I hope to get a post up resulting from all these memory hot-flashes we’ve been having, but in the meantime, here’s our gem just as she woke up this morning on her big day:
Yes, she is in her dress from the night before. Sometimes it’s just not worth it to fight over PJs, know what I mean?

I knew I liked that kid for some reason. That’s pretty much how it goes when Carla drags me out of bed. The leg kicking is implied.

She is her mother’s daughter…that is for sure! I think I remember a few times at a conference or two when a certain someone would kick her legs and not want to get out of bed and even slept in her clothes from the night before! ha ha ha! : )

Amazing Greis
She’s a cutie, and from the looks of it she really just wants a few more z’s. She’s probably thinking damn, it’s my birthday and I can’t even sleep in!
And I think the periodic table is a great (and very attainable) 3rd birthday goal! LOL

I love how she snatches back her pacifier and puts it back in her mouth. Have an excellent Birthday Parker!! And congrats Amy & Doug for surviving Three years!

Jennifer, Playgroups are no place for children
I don’t know why, but this sort of made me cry. It’s so sweet to hear you and your husband interacting with each other and her. She is just way too adorable, slowly waking up and listening to the two of you…
Sigh.
I really hope she accomplishes the potty and her online degree.

What a great way to document her third b-day. Can’t wait to see what the third year brings for little Parker. Happy birthday sweet girlie!
PS I SOOO know what you mean about picking battles about clothes. There are many nights my little girlie doesn’t want to change into her PJs either…and she’s 7 *sigh*.

What a darling little girl… From start to finish this is a darn cute video. I especially like when Doug is quizzing P on “What is F-E??”
She has plenty of time for the periodic table…
Happy belated birthday, P!!

Headless Mom
(I have an excuse for being late! Vegas anyone?)
She is so darling it is making my ovaries hurt. Although to remedy the situation it would make my husband’s something else hurt, so we’ll just go with loving her adorableness from afar.
Happy Day, Parker! *big smooshy kisses*

Emily from Mommin It Up
Ok that is adorable but all I could think of was “she looks like she’s trying to think of the right words to express ‘leave me the $*(# alone! in 3-year-old vocabulary.”

Soooo cute! I love how she smiled when you said “it’s your birthday!” Priceless video.
