b) apparently so, witness the never ending shredding of Hillary Clinton when she was first lady. I think her tenure as first lady sparked the tiny flame of feminism in my junior-high self. I didn’t understand anything about health care or what it meant, but I understood that the president’s wife was trying to do something important and people were falling all over themselves to cut her down. Because, you know, her HAIR was the important thing. Argh.

I too am obsessed with Jon & Kate. Mostly I’m so glad I’m not them.
